The Editorial Board

Editor

Dr. Stephen M. Fiore is Editor of Cognitive Technology. He earned his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, Learning Research and Development Center. He is a faculty member with the University of Central Florida ’s Cognitive Sciences Program in the Department of Philosophy and Director of the Cognitive Sciences Laboratory at UCF’s Institute for Simulation and Training. He maintains an interdisciplinary research interest that incorporates aspects of the cognitive, computational, and organizational sciences in the investigation of learning and performance in individuals and teams. He has co-edited scientific volumes on Team Cognition and on Distributed Learning and he has published over 100 scholarly articles in the areas of memory, problem solving, learning and training and team performance.

 
Managing Editor

Dr. Brad Brubaker is Managing Editor of Cognitive Technology and is an assistant professor of Psychology at Indiana State University . He earned his Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee specializing in auditory perception. He directs research at the Cognitive Sciences Lab at ISU focusing on cognitive performance measures, maintaining cognitive health, the role of mistakes in behavior and autobiographical memory characteristics. He serves as a member of the board of the Practical Memory Institute and maintains a research project examining the cognitive enhancing abilities of training programs and dietary supplements . He is currently involved in the NCAT course redesign program as the cognitive specialist designing evaluation techniques to assess the various types of learning expected in introductory “gateway” college classes.
